I was lucky enough to catch Zainab’s message just before closing out my calendar for a vacation.

Yes. I vacation.

My wife and I had already booked a much-needed week-long getaway in Los Cabos when I was checking my Instagram DM and there was Zainab’s message. She expressed interest in doing a session with a few inspiration images and I found space for her on the calendar because I love what I do and the people who allow me to do it for them.

Vibes. Vibes is one of those words that’s probably a little overused by now but honestly, there is no other way to describe the session. Zainab was the perfect model in that she was super comfortable and willing to be vulnerable and open to getting the shot she wanted. She brought along her niece who I am convinced will be studied in universities in the near future because of how creative her brain is.

Artist’s Perspective: I really wanted to capture the energy that I felt beaming off of Zainab. She was very excited to be a new mother while also having the nurturing instincts of a veteran. I watched as she effortlessly calmed PPhoenixwhen she was upset and smiled at every wonderful thing that she did. This was all new to them both and I was lucky enough to capture some it which I’ve included for you to enjoy.
