🖤 “When everything is stripped down to black and white, there’s nowhere to hide. Every detail, every line, every shadow—everything is laid bare. And that’s where the magic lies.

I love working with black-and-white portraits because they force us to see beyond the surface. There’s no distraction, just essence. We see the quiet power of expression, the depth in every glance, the story in every gesture.

This photo reminds me of how life feels in those in-between moments—the ones where you’re not performing, just reflecting. Those moments matter, too. Sometimes, they matter most.

Jessica and Carlos shared a few moments of love and connection as they prepared for the arrival of their baby and I was lucky enough to capture it all and be the one to share the results with you. Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do.
